MAD MARC’S TAUTER SAUCE
(Mom’s SECRET Recipe)
All kidding aside this is the best tauter sauce you will ever try… Customers have paid BIG Bucks to get this so please keep it a secret!
Large Dill Pickle.
Medium Yellow Onion.
Small Jar of Pimentos.
Two Tablespoons of Capers.
One Quart of “Best Foods or Hellmann’s”
Mayo.
Chop the Dill Pickle into small pieces…
Use only DILL not another flavored pickle like Garlic or Kosher.
Use a good old fashion Yellow Onion, not one of the “New”
mild onions! Grate the onion using the Large Holes on a “Hand” Grater. Do not
use a food processor or the consistence will not be correct.
Drain the pimentos and pat dry. (Avoid getting any of the Red juice in the tarter sauce.) Chop to
the same size as the Dill pickle.
Chop the Capers just enough to get their juices running
Mix all of the above ingredients with ONLY Best Foods (in the West) or
Hellmann’s (in the
East) Mayo. For Goodness sakes DO NOT use Miracle Whip!
